We did it!

I dedicate my purple belt to Jenn and Alison who helped watch Bryson so I could go to the classes with the big boys. With much complaining and whining on the part of Devon and sometimes Carson we have all (except Bryson) managed to earn our Purple Belt.
This is big news, we have now moved up to the Intermediate Class, which we went to last night and it is WAY harder. We told Devon he had to earn his purple belt, but now it is up to him if he continues. Well, I should explain I said he had to go last night to see what it was like and then he could decide. So we shall see if he continues or not.
I set a goal to get my purple belt and I did it. Now I have to decide if I want my Blue Belt. I personally found the intermediate class a LOT harder and am not sure if I will continue much longer. But the beginner class seemed HARD when we started. I didn’t think I would ever be able to do 20 push ups and now it is easy to do it. So I figure if I do press on, it will get easier. I am actually really good at the sword stuff, that is easy for me. The TomToys (I have no idea how to spell that) are tricky for me, it is like dancing or aerobics, you have to be coordinated, which is not my gift.
Rob and Carson are in it for the black belt and they are both good enough with work they could do it. Devon and I would take a lot more effort and practice, but I suppose it would be possible if we choose to do it.
I actually think a lot about birth during the class. The mindset of
I can do it
One thing at a time
Mind over matter.
Chanting in my mind – I can do all things with Christ who strengthens me.
Apparently natural birth can help prepare you for a lot in life. Like earning your purple belt!
