This is our 6th year skiing with my parents in Utah. 

The first two years we rented a place in the Canyons.  Devon started lessons when he was 5 years old.    Carson started when lessons when he was 3. 

Then my parents bought a time share at the Marriott Mountainside in Park City, so this is our 4th year here.  Bryson missed the cut off for lessons by 2 months, but he was happy playing in the condo.  So he will start lessons next year when he is 4.

We arrived LATE Saturday night and Sunday we rested.  The boys were antsy to get out on the slopes.  We did go to the pool and they also played in the snow and went on a Horse Pulled Sleigh Ride up the mountain.  It was a nice day.

Monday Rob, my dad Ric, Devon and Carson went out on the slopes.  Carson and Rob snowboard and Ric and Devon ski.  Mom, Bryson and I went to the outlet malls.  I got some great deals at Van Husen $8 for almost everything.  2 pairs of pants, 2 capris, tons of shirts.  It was great.

Tuesday, Devon didn’t ski.  Carson took snowboarding lessons all day and he ended up being the only one in his class.  It was a great day for him and he learned to turn on his toes instead of his heels.  (This makes no sense to me, but to snowboarders it will.)  Rob and Ric had fun skiing kid free.

Wednesday I went out with everyone.  Last year when I went skiing I got nauseous.  I did again this year.  But I powered through, I kept skiing.  Until around 2 when I threw up on the slopes behind a SLOW sign.  Devon was impressed and grossed out.  I then sat in the lodge for an hour, Rob bought me some Dramamine and I did a few more runs. 

Thursday was our day off skiiing.  Ben, Kirsten and their 4 boys and 1 girl (finally we have a girl in our midst) met us at the Olympic Park and we saw the World Cup for Skeleton and 2 man Bobsledding.  It was SO cool to be there and see it live.  So fun! 

Then we went back to our condo with everyone, ate pizza and lasagna.  The boys went to the pool and then we had cake to celebrate Ethan’s birthday!  It was a fun day.

 

Friday, Devon wasn’t feeling well, so he stayed in with mom and I.  Rob, Ric and Carson are on the slopes again.  I met Crystal for lunch.  I wish they would move back to California! 

Tonight we are heading up to Ben and Kirsten’s for the weekend.
