Carson LOVES to listen to these CDs.  It is the first thing he wants to do each morning for Home School.  I have learned to encourage us to do some math or something else first, because it motivates him to get it done. 

The CD’s are great.  I love Jim Weiss as a story teller and it is fun to listen to and educational.  I also got the activity book.  Frankly, Carson is not interested in doing ANY activities.  But he looks at the map and I ask him questions and have him narrate what he learned.  But he does NOT want to color any pictures or build anything. 

It is a great way to introduce a topic and a well planned library trip (after looking ahead) provides a lot of supplementary reading.  So often after we listen to a chapter, he goes to the library basket and will read for 30 minutes or so after listening.

I would say this is a great product for History Home Schooling or even for a family that loves listening to stories, a great way to sneak some history in there!
