I am still researching Homeschooling and have found a lot of great information.
I have been taking notes and bookmarking sites. I LOVE this one, because it has little assignments for me to do. I am now on #3 and have started my Teacher’s Notebook. Even if I don’t homeschool, this will be the perfect spot for me to write down things the boys are interested in, so we know what to do on the weekends!
I have decided already that we are going to get the Math U See program, I got the free introductory CD and T1 enjoyed that. It is right up his alley, I even learned things just from the introduction! So Math Curriculum, CHECK!
It is fun doing all the research, even if I don’t homeschool now, I will be ready if I ever feel the need to later. I definitely have a better feel for what I would like to do. I have talked to a few IRL friends who have done it and gotten their feedback. There is tons of support online as well.
Sheridan, I think it’s great that you are doing so much research. Homeschooling is not easy-but with good research, you can really find programs that work for you and your child. I give you oodles of credit! I did not want to put that much time in, I chose the easy route by having a program that was already put together…it worked well for us. And that’s just it. You need to find what works for you.
